Any thoughts on the Shop Fox W1843 knife belt sander/buffer? It's a Grizzly G1015 2x72 grinder. The biggest difference that I can find is that the SP comes with a 10" drive wheel while the Grizzly comes with an 8" drive wheel with their 10" a $91 option. I did a search on Shop Fox on this forum

School me on making a belt grinder. - Texas Hunting Forum

I made one like the video. I used a grinder that had brushes in the motor so I could use a router speed controller to control the speed of the belt. Mine also used 2x48 belts. Using the router controller you lose some of the power at the slow speeds. As long as I did not try to hog the metal off it worked okay.
